The first day out of training and Day's eyes met Godfrey's. That was it. Game over. Do not pass go. Do not collect $200. Day had met his partner, his best friend, the man that would save his life, and the man that would forever have his heart. Lovers aren't meant to be partnered but no one was strong enough to keep them apart without losing them. So instead, the department leaned into their love.

They became Lieutenants. They were given the Atlanta Narcotics Task Force. The rest is, as they say, history. They bring down the big names. Their scores of contraband fill warehouses.
